HOT NEGRONI
When chillier weather hits, a Classic Negroni may not cut it, but this Hot Negroni most certainly will!
Made in a very similar fashion to the Classic Negroni but with a couple of little twists, like the addition of Rooibos tea for some earthy and nutty tones and honey for natural sweetness that compliments the tea and coats the throat when drinking warm.
I have also used Four Pillars Bloody Shiraz Gin as the gin component for the cocktail - this is a fun gin that uses Shiraz grapes which are steeped in their original Rare Dry Gin.
Give it a try next time you are sitting by the fire or just want a warm drink with a little kick.
60ml Bloody Shiraz Gin
60ml Cinzano Rosso
60ml Campari
1 pot brewed rooibos tea
2 tsp honey
Wedge orange
Step 1. Start by brewing a pot of rooibos tea, with a little bit of honey.
Step 2. In your mixing glass add gin, vermouth, campari, and stir. Pour it into glass and top up with your hot tea and add a wedge of orange to garnish.
