HOW TO BOIL AN EGG
It may sound simple, but boiling the humble egg can sometimes be a little tricky and it really depends on how YOU like your boiled eggs. Do you like it runny? Do you like jammy? Are you a soft person? Or does it need to be hard?
Well it shouldn’t be too hard to pull off if you follow a couple of simple steps (and keep your stopwatch handy)
The key is all in the timing.
Start with boiling water.
Eggs from the fridge
Gently lower in your eggs with a slotted spoon.
Reduce temp to a gentle boil (so you don’t crack your eggs if they are bouncing around in the pot)
My egg preference is soft and jammy. So I am going to cook my eggs for 6mins 30sec.
If you like them runny: 5 min
Hard boiled: anything over 10
At the time of choice, remove from pot into cold water for 2mins
Crack, peel and enjoy
